Alternatively known as 'India's Silicon Valley' or 'The Pub City', Bangalore is the fastest growing city in Asia. The capital of the state of Karnataka, Bangalore is located 1000 metres above sea level and is well connected to other major cities. It is home to well over 6 million people, and a base for 10,000 industries. In years gone by, Bangalore was referred to as the 'pensioner's paradise'. This acronym was considered appropriate at the time because it was a slow paced city with a 'laid back' attitude.
