As pure as it gets
eychelles is a uniquely beautiful, amazingly incredible, romantically perfect paradise destination. Seychelles are the rhythms, colors and flavors of Africa and gris gris, the local brand of black magic.

The Seychelles offers nature at her very best, and the pace of island life is ideally suited to those who simply wish to relax and unwind in stunning tropical surroundings.

The Seychelles is a group of about 115 islands which lie 1600-km (990 miles) off the coast of east Africa. The Seychelles Islands are widely spread out in the Indian Ocean, resulting in greatly varying winds, currents, and rainfall. The islands stretch like an array of jewels across nearly one million square kilometres of the Indian Ocean east of Kenya, and even have their own unique suggestively shaped fruit, the famous 'coco de mer' double coconut, to emphasis their seductive charms.

Mahé The three central islands are Mahé, Praslin and La Digue. They are all out of granite, while the outlying islands are coral atolls. Aside from palm-fringed beaches and superb snorkeling and diving, there are also plenty of forest wildernesses with an abundance of wildlife.

Mahé is surrounded by coral reefs the clear, calm waters invite relaxation and water sports. Attractions: The 100 year old Botanical Gardens (with giant land tortoises, coco-de-mer and orchids); the markets; the capital, Victoria, with its famous clock tower; the National Museum dedicated to island history, folklore and music; graceful colonial mansions and old plantations; and vibrant green jungles.

Praslin Island Praslin is second largest island. It's the universal blueprint for the perfect tropical island. In its limited area, the richness and variety of plant and animal life is astounding. Fantastically shaped huge granite boulders dot the island. Coral reefs teeming with over 900 species of fish, living coral and jewel-toned shells paint a living seascape. This island has the unique attraction of the Vallee de Mai where the protected double coconuts (coco de mer) exist in their natural habitat.

La Digue La Digue is the world's perfect place to do absolutely nothing but enjoy perfect tropical beauty and harmony. This stunning little island is probably the most photographed island in the world. It's 3 hours 15 minutes by schooner from Mahe (currently not running, however) and 30 minutes from Praslin, and is the breeding ground of the rare Black Paradise Flycatcher. Ox carts are the primary means of transportation, which can take the visitor past old plantation houses, a vanilla plantation, a copra factory and, of course, the incomparable beaches. The main attractions of this idyllic island boardsailing, fishing as well as cycling and accommodation is in the form of chalets.
